The Idaho expedition started with flights into Spokane Washington. From there, United States Forest Service transported the Men up to Bonners Ferry Idaho, in the
Idaho panhandle near the Montana and Canada borders.
The next morning the Men and the USFS leaders headed out to the Clifty Mountain Quadrant and hiked in 8 to 10 miles to the Divide Lake base camp.

Each man backpacked in his clothes, tent, sleeping bag, and gear. Luke Churchill packed in the tools, kitchen, food and water with mules.

It was sunny hiking in and sunny hiking out. During the workweek, however, it rained everydayduring the workday. Though it was difficult, the men cheered one another on in the early morning and late night prayer scrums. "The Lord is breaking us down men. So, let's suck it up and respond like real men with good humor and praise." Bill Bennison

Idaho 2008 ended up being the expedition with the worst weather, best food and most profound story of building the Altar.
