Medicine Bow to Walburga 2026

Join the men of Wilderness Outreach for an adventure into backpacking, mountain climbing, and Holy Work at the Walburga Convent. The first part of the expedition will start with a basecamp in the Medicine Bow Mountains of southern Wyoming and conclude with summiting 12.500’ Medicine Bow Peak.

Next it’s off to the Walburga Benedictine Convent, (the same one depicted in the movie Lilies of the Field), to work for the Sisters on their ranch in northern Colorado.

As is usual the Rule of Life of Wilderness Outreach will be followed including the Liturgy of the Hours and evening discussions about the theology of masculine spirituality.

This expedition is open to Laymen, Seminarians, and Fathers and Sons 16 years and up.

The cost for this expedition is $300 per man.

$300.00

The registration fee for a remote Trek covers food expenses while in the backcountry. All other expenses, including transportation and gear are the responsibility of the participant.
